Suez Canal increases discounts for LNG tankers

The Suez Canal Administration (SCA) is increasing discounts for LNG tankers on routes connecting US ports in the Gulf of Mexico with India and further east, TASS reports with reference to SeaTrade Maritime.

New SCA discounts on the tariff for passage of vessels through the canal will be valid from October 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 for both loaded tankers and vessels proceeding in ballast.

The discount for ships traveling to Kochi and ports east of it to Singapore will be 50%, to Singapore and further east - 75%.
