The docking of the most important bridge for communication with China over the Amur, which will connect Blagoveshchensk and Heihe, Russia and China, has been completed. This is reported by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East on its website. May 31 is already a historic date for friendly states.

The path to the realization of the ambitious project of building a road bridge Blagoveshchensk-Heihe was not easy. The decision on this construction was born in the late 90s, in 2015 an agreement on construction was signed, and builders began building the bridge in the winter of 2016. 2.5 years have passed - and now the landmark bridge is docked. According to the plan, it will be commissioned in three and a half years after the start of construction - in the spring of 2020.

The bridge, of course, is inferior in scale to the Crimean, but still gigantic. Its weight is 3,900 tons, and its length is 1080 meters. The total length of the bridge is more than 20 km. Brigades of builders from Russia and China erected on 540 meters of the bridge. And today, May 31, the bridge has become one.

Every day, 630 trucks, 164 buses and 68 cars will be able to cross the bridge. Passenger traffic will be about 5,500 people per day.
