From the beginning of 2020, the rate of duty-free import of personal goods that are shipped in international mail (MPO) and delivered by express carriers will be reduced. At the same time, the size of the levy will be reduced.

In accordance with the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated December 29, 2017 No. 107 “On Certain Issues Relating to Goods for Personal Use”, duty-free import will be limited in value terms to € 200. Now - € 400. At the same time, the "weight limit" will not change and will still be 31 kilograms.

The fee for exceeding these indicators will be reduced by half and amount to 15% of the cost, but not less than € 2 Euro per 1 kilogram of gross weight of international mail, both cost and weight norms. The cost and weight of each individual parcel will now be evaluated regardless of the frequency of movement of goods.

For 11 months of this year, customs officers issued 480 foreign parcels with goods for personal use from different countries. This is almost twice as much as in the same period of 2018. The main categories of goods moved were clothes and shoes, drugs, components for computer equipment, auto parts, toys, cosmetics. These products were purchased mainly in the USA, India, Great Britain, Japan, China, Korea, Italy, Spain and France.
