Acron Group, one of the largest fertilizer producers in Russia, sent 23,000 tons of mineral fertilizers to China. This is the world's first transportation of fertilizers along the Northern Sea Route. The goods were loaded onto a ship in the Baltic port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad Region). From there, the cargo will proceed to the ports of China.

China is the largest consumer of mineral fertilizers in the world. In 2018, he imported 1665 thousand tons from Russia in the amount of $ 395 million. Acron is one of the largest Russian exporters of mineral fertilizers to China. He sells them to the Chinese market through his own distribution company, Beijing Yong Sheng Feng.

According to Dmitry Habrat, Acron’s vice president of foreign economic activity, “the new route will reduce logistics costs, cargo time on the way and expand the ability to deliver fertilizers to countries in the Asia-Pacific region.”

The geography of Akron’s business includes the production of phosphate raw materials in the Murmansk Region (NWPC), the development of a potash deposit in the Perm Territory (VKK), 11 sites for the development of potash deposits in Canada, very large production facilities in Veliky Novgorod and the Smolensk Region (PJSC Acron and PJSC Dorogobuzh), three port terminals on the Baltic Sea: two in Estonia and one in Kaliningrad, as well as distribution networks in Russia and China. The main owner of Acron is Vyacheslav Kantor.
