Logistics News

RZD-Logistika has transferred container shipments on a regular basis in communication between China and Finland.

The trains start in Hefei District (Anhui Province) and depart along the road through Dostyk-Alashankou to Northern Europe. After about 14 days, they complete their journey at the Finnish station Vuosaari. Now it happens once every two weeks. On the eve of "RZD-Logistics" reported that they plan to transfer service on a daily schedule. The route is positioned as a "circular", with the possibility of back loading in Finland.

The transit in communication between China and Finland is one of the most sought after shippers. Cargo traffic in this direction is constantly growing. For three months of 2019, it increased by 9.9%. In “RZD-Logistics”, they naturally count on the growth of traffic volumes between China and Finland in both directions.

The new service was launched by RZD-Logistics in partnership with the United Transport and Logistics Company - the Eurasian Railway Alliance (EPLA EPA), Nurminen Logistics and Hefei International Land Port Development Co., Ltd. Most often along the route carry consumer goods, furniture and equipment.

RZD-Logistics managed to agree on reducing the number of empty containers to a minimum in the opposite direction. If the shippers of Finland do not need to deliver goods to China, they can use the trains for transportation to Russia.

Russian Railways Logistics invites shippers for cooperation. They can apply for inclusion in the composition, even if they have only one container of cargo.
