Cargo turnover in the ports of the Far Eastern basin of the Russian Federation in January-September 2019 increased by 5.2%

The cargo turnover of the ports of the Far Eastern Basin of the Russian Federation in January-September 2019 amounted to 158.5 million tons, which exceeds the figure for the same period last year by 5.2%. Transshipment of dry cargo reached 100.69 million tons (+ 5.7%), bulk - 57.81 million tons (+ 4.4%), according to the Association of Commercial Sea Ports of the Russian Federation.

The growth rate of cargo turnover in the basin is reduced from 8.1% in January-April. In the future, an uneven decline in growth rates is expected during the year, taking into account the effect of a high base.

The cargo turnover of the Vostochny port during the reporting period amounted to 54.61 million tons, which exceeds the figure for January-September 2018 by 4.4%. The Vanino port increased cargo transshipment by 5.5%, to 23.24 million tons, Nakhodka - by 4.5%, to 19.28 million tons. The cargo turnover of the port of Vladivostok grew by 6.7%, to 16.64 million tons, De-Kastri - by 11.6%, to 10.14 million tons. Prigorodnoye port reduced cargo transshipment by 6.3%, to 11.75 million tons. Other ports of the basin handled 22.84 million tons (+ 10.6%).

Transneft Port Kozmino Stevedoring Company handled 24.61 million tons (+ 8.8%), Vostochny Port JSC - 19.01 million tons (+ 3.1%), Daltransugol CJSC - 14.67 million tons (-2.2%).
